I have yet to finish the spread page, I will post it tomorrow. This is my first time working with Adobe Illustrator and I found it very difficult for some reason. But I was able to portray a rough image of what I had in mind. This is the Shanghai skyline, and I used blue and orange because they are complimentary colors which usually catch one's eyes. I hope you all like it.
I like the concept however I would make the magazine title larger and align the text on the page. Aligning the "Learn How to Manipulate" could be aligned on the left with the bigger title and add more structure to the cover. Also the Magazine slogan looks awkward being that long which could be fixed by enlarging the title and reducing the kerning. Illustrator is a mind boggling program to work with at first if you strated with Photoshop, it is very different. Once you wrap your head around how it works, it is actually not that bad though, took me a while to get it.
